How the claims process works with HighPeak
Most homeowners have never filed a roof insurance claim before. Here is exactly what happens when you work with us, step by step.
1
Free inspection and damage documentation
We inspect your roof and property, photograph all damage, and advise you on what is applicable to your insurance coverage and how to present it to your carrier.
2
Insurance Claim Contingency Contract
If damage qualifies, we provide our contingency contract for you to complete while filing your property claim with your carrier.
No out-of-pocket cost at this stage
3
Adjuster meeting
We attend the adjuster inspection with you. Adjusters are not roofing or code professionals. Our presence ensures damage is properly identified and nothing is missed.
4
Carrier estimate and supplement report
Your carrier sends their estimate. We submit our own estimate and supplement report to ensure all code-required work is included. This process can take time depending on your carrier and adjuster.
5
ACV check and project start
Your carrier releases the ACV check (actual cash value). HighPeak accepts this plus your deductible as the deposit to begin your new roof.
6
Installation and completion certificate
We install your roof. Upon completion we provide a certificate and incurred cost report to your carrier.
7
RCV release and final payment
Your carrier releases the RCV check (replacement cost value, or depreciation check) along with any approved supplements. This is the final payment for your project.
